John Karaca is the Director of Development at Student Connection. In his capacity, he coordinates robust fundraising initiatives, guides organizational strategic development and expansion, and assists Student Connection’s educational advocacy efforts. As a current Junior at Tesla STEM High School, he is the co-president and co-founder of the Tesla STEM National Honor Society and a member of his school’s equity board. Owing to his passionate stance in progressive public policy and a keen interest in computational solutions, he strives for an equitable, sustainable, and resilient democracy committed to inclusive bureaucratic practices and informed by nonpartisan analytics. John strongly believes that law and governance is the most effective way to foster sensible, collective change, and aspires to pursue a career in politics and government through political candidacy. In his free time, John enjoys reading, listening to current events podcasts, and immersing himself in machine learning.
